After graduating from Brandeis University, Doctor Foxx attended Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia where he received his M.D. degree. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine followed by a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Hahnemann Hospital.
Commissioned a Captain in the U.S. Army, Doctor Foxx served as Regimental Surgeon for the 6th Armored Cavalry and was involved in its reactivation in 1967. As Regimental Surgeon, Doctor Foxx was in charge of the conditioning and daily wellness of 5,000 combat troopers.
Practicing aesthetic medicine and cosmetic dermatology since 2001, Doctor Foxx is known for his gentle touch as well as his sense of aesthetic balance and attention to fine detail using BOTOX® and dermal fillers such as Restylane®, JUVEDERM, and RADIESSE™. He is widely recognized for his experience and ability with TITAN™, the world's most effective skin tightening system, and with the entire array of laser modalities including the FRAXEL no-downtime skin resurfacing system. He is on the RADIESSE Medical Education Faculty and regularly trains physicians in his technique of mid-face volumization. Doctor Foxx also trains physicians for IAPAM on the use of BOTOX.
Doctor Foxx is a Certified Physician Assistant Supervisor and has been certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. He serves as a physician volunteer at Gilda's Club Desert Cities.
A sought-after lecturer and published writer on medical and non-medical topics, Doctor Foxx is a recognized authority on medical spas. He is the Editor of THE HEALING DOCTOR, a monthly medical newsletter with international distribution. and a contributing writer and member of the peer reivew panel for ADVANCE FOR HEALTHY AGING. Doctor Foxx has been a desert dweller since 1985 and opened The Medical and Skin Spa in
2003. He now resides in La Quinta. It is there where the Doc pursues his life-long passion for horses, cooking, music (two kinds: Country and Western), writing, and following the PBR. Having just completed work on his second novel, a murder mystery called SPIRIT RANCH, Doctor Foxx is working on his next book to be called LOOK BETTER THAN YOU EVER THOUGHT POSSIBLE...WITHOUT SURGERY.

The career track of nurse-injector Leslie Stewart, RN, has taken her from her birthplace in Vancouver, BC to the Coachella Valley via China where she worked as a physician and nursing staff trainer in Shenzehn. Leslie has been a Critical Care nurse and has experience in Intensive Care units from Florida and Idaho to Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach.
With a background in skin care and aesthetics already in place, Leslie found her passion in aesthetic medicine and transitioned to her current career as a nurse-injector in 2000. Her initial experience was with a distinguished plastic surgeon in Winter Park, FL, where she not only administered injectables but also conceived, implemented, and managed the total skin care clinic for his practice.
At The Medical and Skin Spa, Leslie has the opportunity to utilize her extensive knowledge of skin and aesthetic medicine while providing her patients her skill and artistic touch with BOTOX and wrinkle fillers.
Leslie has been a desert resident since 2006 and lives in La Quinta with her husband, their daughter, and Abbee, their lovable Silky Terrier.
Coordinator of Laser Services and Laser Nurse, Brandi Lara, R.N., is a California native. A graduate of College of the Desert School of Nursing, Brandi is a trained and
accredited laser nurse. She was also personally trained by the Doc as well as the CUTERA™ training team. Nurse Brandi is extremely results-oriented and particularly well-known for her deft touch with TITAN™ and FRAXEL.
Brandi is also a Labor and Delivery nurse at Desert Regional Medical Center where she has been recognized as employee of the year several times.
PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR Wendy Degnan brings a very unique set 
of qualifications to The Medical and Skin Spa. Wendy spent her early years on Hawaii, many of them on horseback, and actually owns several equestrian world records. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, she moved on to a distinguished career in television that spanned several decades. She has spent time on both coasts and on both sides of the camera, first as a broadcaster and then as National Sales Manager for KESQ/KDFX and KMIR.
Wendy is known for her people skills as well as her problem solving abilities and is an exceptional patient advocate. At The Medical and Skin Spa she is the go-to person for questions about the office. She lives in Palm Desert with her husband, her two daughters, and two spoiled dogs.
A native Californian, Lynne Scott was trained at Fullerton College and
has taken continuing ed courses at the Conservatory of Esthetics, La
Roche-Posay, and Peter Thomas Roth. She is a member of the Society of
Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists and has been practicing medical
aesthetics for 12 years.
Before joining us, Lynne worked with several well-known plastic surgeons in Orange County. Her credentials include experience in makeup, facial massage, laser aesthetics, adult acne treatment, and of course, dermal planing. Most importantly, she has the healing touch we look for in every member of our team.
Amy is a trained and licensed medical aesthetician and skin health expert at The Medical and Skin Spa. She is a true local, having grown up within minutes of the office. Amy often appears on television with the Doc and has extensive experience with advanced peels, DERMAL QUENCH, and microdermabrasion as well as the entire array of treatments available in the office. With a long-time interest in alternative modalities, Amy has added another dimension to our already healing atmosphere. Amy lives in La Quinta with her husband, Aaron, her French Bulldogs Cody and Rider, and a rabbit named Snuggles.

Sammy, a four year-old black Labrador retriever is Director of Stress Management Services for The Medical and Skin Spa. A native of Phelan, CA, Sammy apprenticed with the Doc and JoAnn until he was fully qualified. A true Buddha spirit, he is the personification of mellow and only barks when he is ignored for long periods. On occasion he is available for walks around the Resort grounds or for long talks by the reflecting pool. If you have any issues related to stress, Sammy is available for email consultations as well.
