AGE MANAGEMENT CONSULTATION

It was Madame Curie who said: “Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood.”  And while she was speaking about her newly discovered x-rays, her words are equally true about the aging process.

    In medical school physicians were traditionally taught how to treat disease.  Left out were the principles of disease prevention through the methods of dietary modification, supplements, exercise, stress management, and hormone balancing that would make a real difference in overall health and longevity.

    For more than 10 years, however, the consistent goal of Doctor Foxx has been to improve the overall quality of patient’s lives.   Working toward that goal, he sought to integrate the theory and techniques of hormone balancing with the latest in non-invasive skin aesthetic medicine while incorporating many of the principles of age management medicine.  It was that concept that lead him to trademark the phrase “Health and Beauty, Inside and Out.” in 2002.

     In a one-hour Age Management consultation at The Medical and Skin Spa, Doctor Foxx explores all of the factors that go into an assessment of the patient’s physical age.  Beginning with an in-depth medical history including evaluations of energy and libido, he goes on to explore a genetic history, career history, and stress history including the patient’s own stress management techniques.  

•    Laboratory biomarkers of aging are evaluated and the risk of specific diseases explored by reviewing appropriate blood tests.  If indicated, organ reserve is evaluated with other testing.

•    Hormone balancing of estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA, and growth hormone is considered crucial to age management and a program is formulated to achieve this end.

•    At the conclusion of the consultation the patient is given a written summary of the findings and recommendations.

•    As part of the Age Management consultation patients receive our signature Anti-aging skin treatment and are encouraged to return in six to eight weeks for a 30 minute update to mark progress that has been made.

•    A complete Age Management consultation including follow up (but not including laboratory studies) is $500 and is limited to aesthetic medicine patients of The Medical and Skin Spa.
